Lin Zijin 林子衿

PhD Student (since 2024)

I am a PhD student in Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics, under the supervision of Dr You Tao, Professor Sir Munir Pirmohamed and Dr Meng Xiaoli. At China Pharmaceutical University, I earned my BSc in Pharmacy (2021) and my MSc in Pharmacokinetics (2024). My PhD study started in October 2024 and is supported by the China Scholarship Council.

My PhD project focuses on dose adjustment for polypharmacy treatments using model-based analysis. The project aims to develop quantitative models to evaluate how the incidence, severity, and time evolution of adverse events may be related to clinical covariates, including drug exposure, concomitant medications, pharmacogenomic variants and demographics. By integrating these factors with modelling, my research seeks to support the development of individualised dosing strategies that improve treatment safety. 

My main research interests include pharmacometrics, pharmacogenomics, drug toxicity, polypharmacy and precision dosing. I am particularly interested in applying nonlinear mixed effects models to quantify variability among patients and translate model-based analysis into clinical dose recommendations. My long-term research goal is to develop robust models that may guide personalised dose in the clinics, particularly for those receiving complex combination treatments.
