Postdoctoral Research Fellow (since 2025)
I completed my PhD in Pharmacometrics at University College London, working with Professor Joe Standing and Dr Frank Kloprogge. I hold a BSc in Clinical Pharmacy from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University and an MSc in Model-Based Drug Development from the University of Manchester. Before beginning my doctoral research, I worked for three years as a modeller and clinical pharmacologist, supporting dose selection and evidence-based decision-making across clinical studies.
I currently contribute to the European Horizon’s UNITE4TB consortium, where I use pharmacometric approaches to support tuberculosis drug development. My work focuses on understanding how drugs behave in patients, how drug exposure relates to safety, and how genetic differences may influence treatment response. I also develop methodology and software in pharmacometrics, including nlmixr2auto, an open-source R package that uses artificial intelligence-based search methods to automate population pharmacokinetic modelling.
My research interests focus on translating clinical data into predictive models that generate clinically meaningful insights to support personalised pharmacotherapy and clinical decision-making. I am highly interested in integrating pharmacometrics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, pharmacogenomics, and real-world clinical data to better understand and predict drug response, treatment outcomes, and safety risks. Ultimately, my research seeks to advance precision medicine by enabling more informed, individualised, and evidence-based treatment decisions.
