MSc Student

I am currently an MSc Pharmacology and Toxicology student at the University of Liverpool, due to graduate in September 2026. Prior to this, I completed my Bachelor program in Human Biology, with a minor in bioorganic chemistry at Radboud University, in the Netherlands. 

Throughout my bachelor's, my interests lay particularly in subjects such as pharmacochemistry, nanobiotechnology, and genomics and big data, while I also undertook several statistical and mathematical subjects. As part of my program, I completed a five-month internship project based around pharmaceutical bioaccumulation modelling, specifically focusing on modelling drug accumulation within aquatic ecosystems. Although at this stage my work mainly focused on model validation and the scope was relatively narrow, this is where my interest in modelling initially began. 

I have since built on this throughout my Master's programme, where the majority of my chosen modules centred around bioinformatics or computational techniques. As part of this group I have worked on my MSc Research Project, where we have been developing a network-informed tumour growth prediction model. In the future I would like to work at the intersection between computational biology and drug development, using modelling techniques to aid pharmacological decisions, and allow for more optimised R&D processes by reducing the time spent on trial and error, and increasing drug safety.
